Course Description
Neonatology and NICUs have significantly increased the survival rate of extremely premature infants and very-low birthweight babies. A newborn baby, particularly a premature baby, can bring a specific set of challenges, which require a high level of skill and medical expertise. Such challenges increase manifold in the case of neonates born with underdeveloped organs. Neonatologists have a vital role in caring for such neonates and are the first line of support for high-risk births. Their role also includes taking care of newborn babies’ everyday aspects and counseling parents before, during, and after childbirth.
The Advanced Certificate in Neonatal Critical Care Course introduces MBBS graduates to the various aspects of neonatal critical care, from handling serious concerns within the “Golden Hour”, to managing respiratory, cardiovascular and CNS issues in the newborns.
The Medvarsity Learning Design framework is based on Kirkpatrick’s model of e-learning and allows the systematic consumption and application of the content.
