Course Description
A predicament is seen within AYUSH and conventional forms of medicine are the poor emphasis of basic training in trauma care. Considering the large influx of patients with severe metabolic, coagulative, and physiological derangements and the rapid advances in trauma care, in terms of novel therapeutics, techniques, and investigation tools. No physician, either from Allopathic or AYUSH forms of medicine, should be left unprepared while treating and stabilizing life-threatening injuries.
The Advanced Certificate in Trauma Management Essentials is a compilation of the following critical courses:
- Certificate Course in Accident Management
- Certificate in Trauma Life Support
- Advanced Certificate in Trauma Management
A self-paced program consisting of multiple case presentations, lectures, and interactive elements that enables AYUSH professionals to upskill themselves while managing their clinical responsibilities. Effective care of the seriously injured patient requires a parallel rather than sequential management plan that may change on a minute-by-minute basis. Many of these themes are covered in this program, namely:
- Effective Airway Management and Ventilation
- Pain management & anesthetic care
- Appropriate triage & prehospital care
- Injuries of thorax, abdomen, pelvis & limbs
- Diagnostic & interventional radiology in emergency settings
Optimizing the recognition, treatment, and support of patients requiring a triage necessitates a paradigm shift of the AYUSH practitioner in integrating scientific strategies and treatments in their practice.
