Course Description
A recent rise in diabetes, hypertension, and mineral metabolism disturbances, along with the aging factor, has seen a dramatic rise in patients with an array of kidney-related pathologies. The care for such patients is a complex interplay of an abstract concept and physician-bound considerations. With few nephrologists available in the primary care setting, it is up to other healthcare specialists to provide high-end patient care while translating new knowledge into meaningful improvements in health care outcomes for patients with kidney disease.
The Fellowship in Nephrology is a step-up for primary care providers who are increasingly interacting with individuals with kidney-related disorders, for instance, renal failure, glomerular diseases, and infections of the urinary tract and kidney. The blended learning design of the course consisting of multiple case presentations, lectures, and interactive elements, gives you a clinical perspective on the theory and consequently improves the clinical outcomes of your patients.
The Fellowship in Nephrology course covers core competencies namely:
- Guidance in image interpretation, clinical consequences, and suggestions for tailoring interventions.
- Renal Replacement Therapy: What non-nephrologist should know.
- Special consideration among women, children, elderly, pregnancy, and patients with concurrent disease states.
- Facilitate timely preparation for care of end-stage renal disease.
- Medication Safety in preventing nephrotoxicity.
We at Medvarsity strive to equip every physician with the ability to fast-track their career and enable them to serve better the communities in which they practice.
This nephrology course includes 8 week contact program at a leading hospital in major cities, which allows you to apply your knowledge in real-world clinical settings.
