Course Description
Pain is a universal symptom. Acute pain is seen in many injuries and illnesses. Many clinical conditions are associated with chronic pain, and pain is an important symptom of many cancers. All healthcare professionals require a thorough understanding of the impact of pain on the patients and their families. They should also know how to manage this multifaceted problem in an effective and safe manner. The e-learning course in Pain management (e-PAIN) has been developed by the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the British Pain Society, which is the predominant multidisciplinary pain organisation in the UK.
